ProjectX - aims to get boys reading

Oxford University Press have launched a new reading scheme ProjectX it's aim is to get boys reading.

ProjectX is a new guided reading scheme. it recognises that boys do not necesarily want to read the same stuff as girls. They are a generation that is being brought up playing computer games and do not find traditional reading schemes exciting. ProjectX uses cutting edge digital artwork, contemporary characters and action-packed adventures in books that will really enthuse young readers.

Oxford University Press are keen to point out that this reading scheme should not exclude girls, in fact girls should find the scheme equally as motivating.
